       Introducion to drawing

   

Defination                        

The art of representation of an object by a systematic line on a paper is called drawing. Type of drawing :-
1.Engineering drawing
2.Artistic drawing

1.Engineering drawing

The art of representation of structural element such as building, roads, bridge, cannel etc on a paper is called engineering drawing.

2.Artistic drawing

The at of representation of rea; and imagation objects drawn by artist on the paper of board this drawing is called artistic drawing.

Engineering drawing is the universal language of enginers

Engineering drawing is the drawing of an object containing all necessary information like actual shape, size etc requried for the manufacturing of an enginnering component. Engineering drawing prepared in a country are adopted in other countries. So engineering drawing is called the universal language of engineers.

2.Base paper
3.Masking tape

1.Drawing sheet

The paper used for sketch the drawing of any object by systematic way is called drawing sheet or paper. SIze of standered drawing sheets :-
1.A4 = 210*297
2.A3 = 297*420
3.A2 = 420*594
4.A1 = 594*840
5.AO = 840*1188

Base paper

The paper which is used for refrencing the drawing paper is known as base paper.

Masking Tape

The tape used for fixing the drawing sheet on the drawing board is known as making tape.

Drawing tools

1.T-Square
2.Set-square
3.Pencil
4.Compass scale

1.T-square

T-square is made p of hard quality of wood and plastic. The have essintail part of T square are stock and blade.

2.Set square

It is made up of transparent plastic materials. It is used for drawaing parallel, perpendicular line or different angles such as 40 60, 90 120 ,150 etc. They are two type of set square:-
1.30 60 set square
2.45 45 set square

3.Pencil

Pencil are used for preapering drawing on sheet. Drawing pencil are different form orinary pencil and are grade HB H 2H etc. Grade HB denotes medium soft pencil.

2H = Hard grade
H = medium grade
HB = medium soft
B = soft
2B = very soft
 

4.Compass scale

Compass are used to draw circles, arcs, and different angle construction.
